Château Carbonnieux

Bordeaux - Pessac-Léognan

About

**Château Carbonnieux** and its **Grands Crus Classés** de Graves wines is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Bordeaux region, located in the **Pessac-Léognan** appellation.

In the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Carbonnieux, a white and red Graves Grand Cru Classé, is one of the oldest and largest estates in the Bordeaux region. Founded in the 13th century by the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Sainte-Croix de Bordeaux, Château Carbonnieux has cultivated vines without interruption.

Since 1820, generations of Perrins have passed on the know-how and traditions of winegrowing from father to son. First in Mâcon, in Burgundy, then in North Africa, and finally in the largest and most prestigious of wine regions: Bordeaux.

The Perrin family works to produce great vintages year after year in the magnificent terroir of Pessac-Léognan. The hundred or so hectares of vines grow on a remarkable terroir due to its morphology and the diversity of its soils. Such a geological base is a guarantee of aromatic richness and fullness for the wines produced by this Pessac-Léognan appellation.
