Cognac, the emblematic spirit, has a long tradition dating back to the XVIIᵉ century. Made from white grapes grown on chalky soils, it benefits from double distillation and ageing in oak barrels, which give it its complex, refined aromas.

The region is divided into six main crus: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Bois Ordinaires. Each of these terroirs brings unique characteristics to the cognac, offering a diversity of flavours and taste profiles.
