Château de Portets

Bordeaux - Graves

About

Discover the wines and history of the Château de Portets, listed as a historical monument, located 30 minutes from Bordeaux in the Graves region.

A former fortified castle, the Château de Portets was awarded Best Of Wine Tourism in the "Architecture and Landscape" category. The privileged location of the Château offers a tasty combination of vineyards, wine, heritage and river.

Come and discover this Historic Monument with its elegant 14th century Gascq Tower, its park with century old trees and the breathtaking view over the Garonne from the stone terrace that Napoleon climbed in 1808.

To this day, Château de Portets remains a family property hosting 3 generations under its roof.

Soak up the history of Portets and its vineyards on a walking tour, at the end of which you will be able to taste the estate's wines.

"I was born in this house, with memories of my grandfather coming into the courtyard every morning and telling me stories about the vine and wine. He passed on his passion to me through his emotion... We are said to have the "most beautiful job in the world", it is without a doubt... I am each year, on the paths of the 4 seasons, rocked by the swell of the climates, the truth of the senses and the taste. It is the stamp of a family, of a wine, of a history... ours ".
