Crossing the whole of the Rhône, the region draws its strength from its rich and powerful river, which gives it character as much as it sculpts its soil. The vineyards of the Rhône Valley, forming a corridor between the Mediterranean and northern Europe, have been producing wines for at least 2000 years.
CHÂTEAU GIGOGAN
Located in the heart of the Rhone Valley and a few kilometers from the famous Châteauneuf du Papes in Avignon, Château Gigognan spreads its vines over 110 hectares in a panorama punctuated by hills, stone pines and olive groves.
In 2017, businessman Jean-Francois Hénin acquired the Château de Gigognan with the aim of producing great certified organic wines on exceptional terroirs. This project, which he carried out over several years, was based on a vast program of restructuring the vineyard and the construction of a new high-tech winery that respected environmental standards, to which was added a little later the purchase of parcels of vines from the famous Jaboulet house on fabulous terroirs. The preservation of biodiversity being one of Jean-Francois Hénin's major preoccupations, the care of nature has naturally become part of the philosophy of the house.
To learn more about this sublime estate, we propose two itineraries: one is a 15 km and the other is an 30kms, both with electric bike ride. Points of interest are identified all along the itineraries through exclusive contents that will make you discover the treasures of their vineyard.

The château offers several types of accommodation: rooms and suites in the château and comfortable, fully-equipped winegrowers' cottages. Breakfast and access to the swimming pool are included with the night.

CHÂTEAU BEAUBOIS
Today Fanny and François Boyer, sister and brother, are the 4th generation to look after the destiny of the vineyard. They are considered by many discerning eyes to be "the rising generation of the Costières de Nîmes Appellation".
The 50 hectares vineyard has been cultivated by François in organic farming since 2009 and in Biodynamic since 2020.
The vineyard benefits from their freshness during the nights until the early hours of the morning, often giving saline and iodine notes. The southern exposure offers the Mediterranean heat which has a remarkable influence on their wines. They also produce olive oil, you can find all their production at their sales cellar.

On foot, with your bike or electric scooter (contact them), come and explore their history, their production methods & their know-how, through an interactive tour, overlooking the small Camargue and dominated by the Cevennes.
The tour will end with a visit to the cellars and a wine tasting in the shop.
